Christian Medical Association of India sponsored the Alcoholic Anonymous program held in Mongsenyimti village of Nagaland

A seminar and counselling programme for the Alcoholic Anonymous (AA), was held today at the Mongsenyimti Village Baptist Church with the help of Ashiponger Foundation. The Christian Medical Association of India sponsored the programme, Morung Express reported.

A total number of 71 persons participated in the programme. The Ashiponger foundation is an NGO formed by the recovered Alcoholics based in Mokokchung Town that actively works with recovering alcoholics in Mokokchung District of Nagaland.
Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism.
In India, there are about 40,000 members. They mate in over 1,500 local meetings spread around the country. Many meeting conducted in local Churches. All faith alcoholic people attend the sessions.
Imli Ozukum, Pastor, Mongsenyimti Village Baptist Church welcomed all the participants and the resource team. The benediction was pronounced by Rev Imtimenbang, Pastor, Mongsenyimti Compound Baptist Church, Mokokchung.
