Jathedar of Akal Takht meets a family of Sikh girl in Pakistan.

Jathedar of Akal Takht, Sikh's supreme temporal seat met the family of a Sikh girl of Nankana Sahib who was allegedly abducted, forcibly converted to Islam and married to Muslim youth in Pakistan last year 2019, Times of India reported.

According to media reports, the family members told the Jathedar that the girl was brainwashed into going against the wishes of her family to embrace Islam and to marry the Muslim youth, Mohammad Hassan.
 
Jagjit Kaur is the daughter of a Granthi (Priest) at Nankana Sahib, the birthplace of Sikh Guru Nanak Dev in Pakistan, was converted to Islam at gunpoint. Her name was changed from Jagjit Kaur to Ayesha Bibi.
