"If we do not worship God, we will worship idols; there is no middle way, it is either God or idols," says Pope at Epiphany Mass
In Epiphany Mass at St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican City, Pope Francis said, "Worshiping God is not something we do spontaneously. True, human beings have a need to worship, but we can risk missing the goal. Indeed, if we do not worship God, we will worship idols; there is no middle way, it is either God or idols."
In Christianity, idolatry connotes the worship of something or someone other than God as if it were God. In this religion, idolatry has been considered as the "worship of false gods" and is forbidden by the values such as the Ten Commandments.
