A man in Ambikapur, Chhattisgarh, has been booked after religious conversion allegations. The villagers claimed that the man was converting by claiming to cure diseases. Police reached the site and stopped the prayer meeting. The villagers told the police that the man tried to convert more than a hundred villagers by fraud.

Additional Superintendent of Police and Sub District Collector have reached the village after the information from villagers. However, the police have not arrested the suspect but have started the investigation, patrika.com reported.
Many complaints have been registered against the religious conversions of innocent people in Chhattisgarh. It is one of the tribal-dominated States in India and has a significant population of illiterate people.
