In Jaipur, Rajasthan, residents have filed a written complaint in the police and highlighted the religious conversion of poor people through prayer meetings. The prayer meeting was arranged in the night in Jaipur’s Goverdhan Nagar area. Some residents informed the police about the illegal gatherings and also informed them that suspects were converting the poor people to Christianity.

When police reached the site, the missionary Ashok Mahawar told them that we had assembled to offer prayers to Jesus Christ and were singing hymns. The people present weren’t even Christian. We are Hindu but are just devotees of Jesus Christ.
The police have decided to investigate the allegations. However, while talking to The Indian Express, the police said they didn’t find any primary evidence that anyone was being converted but started the investigation.
