Muslim man who pretended self as Hindu to convert a girl, shifted to Jhansi jail

Arif Hashmi, an accused in a forced conversion case, has been shifted to Jhansi jail in Uttar Pradesh. He was in jail for last six months. Arif introduced self as Aditya to a Hindu woman, kept a physical relationship with her and later blackmailed her for conversion to Islam.

The victim woman was an entrepreneur. She was running a hotel. Arif tried to capture her hotel also. The accused has been charged under the Unlawful Religious Conversion Act 2021, Amar Ujala reported.
