Mumbai based Muslim outfit filed a complaint against BBC Hindi news. Leaders of Tahaffuz-E-Namoos-E-Risaalat (TNR) Board met Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh and demanded action against BBC Hindi news for portraying Prophet Muhammad on social media.
In a memorandum, TNR Board President Hazrat Sayed Moin Miya wrote that BBC Hindi news should remove the portrait of Prophet Muhammad from their social media profile and should apologize to Muslims. He further wrote that the BBC Hindi news should assure the Muslim community to refrain from such acts in future.
