A 22-year-old Nandu alias Rahul Krishna, who belonged to a Hindu organization Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), killed by the members of an Islamic outfit named Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI). The incident took place in the Alappuzha district of Kerala. SDPI is a political wing of a radical Islamic organization named Popular Front of India.
Members of SDPI conducted a political campaign march in the villages of the Alappuzha district. The workers of Hindu organizations alleged that the SDPI workers had raised provocative slogans. Some members of the RSS opposed the campaign march. SDPI members attacked RSS workers. In this clash, one RSS worker was killed and several others were injured.
Six SDPI activists have been taken into custody by the Kerala police. According to the police, they are directly involved in the murder.
