Continuation of Tirupati
The older scheme provided the newly-wed brides with one gram ‘mangalasutra’. However, according to the revived scheme each bride will get gold ‘mangalasutra’ weighing two grams and silver toe rings. According to the plan, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) is planning to launch the programme on May 28 and arrangements are on the way to execute the plan successfully. The TTD is all set to carry out all the expenses of the scheme, including silk clothes for the brides and grooms, hall rents, priest charges as well as food for a maximum count of 20 guests for each couple.
