In Uttar Pradesh's capital Lucknow, a Muslim man turned Hindu to marry a Hindu girl and put pressure on her for conversion to Islam after marriage. The victim married Rajiv, who told her that he does not have any family. After marriage, the victim came to know that his real name is Mohammad Afzal Siddiqui.
The victim told that in 2009 she met Rajiv, who described himself as an orphan. After the friendship for some days, they married on 13 February 2009 in Arya Samaj Mandir. There was a dispute between the two when Rajiv asked to put their children name attached to other religion. After investigating this, the victim came to know that Rajiv's real name is Mohammad Afzal Siddiqui. She also came to know about his parents.
The victim has alleged that Afzal was continuously pressurizing her to convert to Islam. The accused was asking the woman to have physical relations with seven people. Afzal said that only after making a physical relationship, she will be able to become a Muslim. Not only this, Afzal was pressurizing the victim to forcibly circumcise both the children. At the same time, when the victim refused conversion and circumcision, Afzal locked the door and set the house on fire when the victim was alone with the children.
The woman dialed 112 linked to the UP Police control room for her rescue. UP Police immediately took out the victim and children from the house. The woman filed a complained to the police station. A case has been registered against Afzal, his parents and Maulanas for a murderous attack under the 'Prohibition of Unlawful Religious Conversion Act.'
