According to the Times of India report, Justice R Subramanian observed that a plethora of documentary evidence is available in the case on hand to support the claim of the appellant that the woman was a Christian by birth and was practising Christianity throughout her life. This is evidenced by indisputable documents in the form of educational records. The woman claimed it was a mistake that she was described as a Christian in her educational records. However, the judge observed that in such a situation it was for her to prove it.
