A new Hindu temple built in Oldham, Greater Manchester, has reached a milestone with the completion of its foundations and steel frame and the start of the external brickwork. The Shree Swaminarayan Temple on Copsterhill Road is due for completion next year.

The temple is being built on the site of a former housing association depot. Once completed, the temple will feature a spacious and naturally-lit modern prayer hall, space for sports, events, and teaching, a courtyard with landscaped gardens, parking, and accommodation.
