Christian pastor violates Covid protocol, performs marriage in church with 300 people in Andhra

A case has been registered against a Christian pastor and the parents of the bride and bridegroom for performing the marriage in a church in presence of over 300 invitees. The incident took place in Thatipaka village in Andhra Pradesh. The pastor violated the Covid protocol declared by the Government amid a rise in daily cases.

The Razole Police arrested four elders of both sides. Subinspector Krishnamachary on receipt of the information visited the church while the marriage was in progress and booked the case suo moto, Uniindia reported.
The names of the arrested were given as Thathapudi Joseph (48), Muskudi Aavullaswamy(50), Ullamparty Lakshmanarao(57) and Ullamparty Mariyamma (52). The case was booked under section 188, 269 read with 34 IPC, police said.
