Muslims refuse Covid vaccine, DM appeals to clerics in Aligarh

District Magistrate Chandra Bhushan Singh had the meeting with Muslim clerics and appealed to them to ask the community to get the Covid vaccination. Aligarh is the Muslim dominated district in Uttar Pradesh. Muslims constitutes 42.64% of the total population of the district. The meeting was organized after it was found that the vaccination count of Muslims was very low.

Talking to local Muslim clerics, DM Singh said that to achieve 100% vaccination in the district, Muslim clerics should support the vaccination drive and should convince the community about the vaccination. He also stressed on protecting people from the possible third wave of the Covid pandemic, Amar Ujala reported.
