In view of the second wave of Coronavirus pandemic, the Uttarkhand Government has extended the lockdown till June 29. The Government has decided to allow the Char Dham Yatra in a phased manner. The Yatra will begin for people from all over the State from July 11. However, a negative Covid-19 report will be mandatory for the visit.
The State Government has decided to allow only the residents from the districts where the four shrines are housed, i.e. Rudraprayag, Chamoli and Uttarkashi, on the pilgrimage starting from July 1.
