UN’s human rights experts urge Pope to take action against sexual abuses in Church institutions

Human rights experts urged the Pope to take all necessary measures to stop and prevent the recurrence of violence and sexual abuse against children in Catholic institutions. The experts noted the persistent allegations of obstruction and lack of cooperation by the Catholic Church with domestic legal proceedings to prevent accountability of perpetrators and reparations to victims, according to the OHCHR website.
