Delhi asks temples to get BHOG certificate from FSSAI to serve Prasad & Langar

To ensure the food safety and quality of food being served to the devotees, the Delhi Government has asked the temples to get BHOG (Blissful Hygienic Offering to God) certification from the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI).

Akshardham Temple and Sai Baba Temple in Delhi have already been BHOG certified through proper training and audit exercise. Several other places of worship are in talks with the food safety department to get the BHOG certifications that would ensure hygienic practices during the preparation and handling of the Prasad, Krishi Jagran reported.
