Temple & local administration cancels Jageshwar Dham fair

In the view of Coronavirus Pandemic, the Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Almora and the Jageshwar Temple committee has decided that the annual fair at the shrine would not be held this year as well. Last year too, the fair was suspended due to Covid-19. However, they decided that the shrine will be open for devotees between 6:30 am and 6 pm.

Jageshwar Dham fair is organized at the shrine in the Hindu month of Shravan. Jageshwara Temple is most well-known for its Swayambhu Linga, also known as the Nagesh Darukabane, and is the eighth one among the 12 jyotirlingas spread across India.
