A church built illegally on the Government land has been demolished in a village of Kongera Panchayat, located 20 km from the district headquarters of Kondagaon in Chhattisgarh. The local administration has taken action under the leadership of the Tehsildar.
About 20 families, who were converted under the influence and temptation of Christian missionaries, built a church on the Government land in the village. They built a raw wall and a roof of asbestos sheet.
The administration took action after some villagers complained to the local administration regarding the illegal church building. Villagers alleged that after the influence of Christian missionaries, the converted villagers neither follow the village tradition nor participate in social programs, Dainik Jagaran reported.
