While talking to News 18 Hindi, resident Akruti Dhan said that the cross has been forcefully placed on their allocated house under Prime Minister Housing Scheme. The victim further alleged that these church people have threatened them and told them not to file the complaint.

Another victim Budhram Munda alleged that the house allocated to his family under PM Housing Scheme has been converted into the church. Around fifteen to twenty people participate in the prayer meeting every Sunday.

Social activist Priya Munda said, "Church people are destroying our age old culture by converting innocent tribes to Christians through greed. Since the people are very poor, they change their religion for little money. That's why they are leaving the faith and beliefs of their ancestors and becoming Christian. This is a very serious matter. The whole society will have to work unitedly to stop this conspiracy. Otherwise, the tribal society will completely lose their Indianness."
