Case filed against a missionary for forced conversion attempt

Uttar Pradesh Police has registered a case against a suspect over forced conversion allegations. The case has been registered by a brother-in-law of the accused. The incident took place in Kushinagar, District.
Case filed against a miss 
The accused Kanhaiya Prajapati, who came to Ahiroli village from Gopalganj district of Bihar, was caught by villagers after conversion allegations and handed him over to the police. He came to the house of his brother-in-law. He was organizing a prayer meeting in the houses of some villagers. When the other villagers came to know about his conversion attempts, they called the police. After the uproar by the villagers, the police reached and arrested the accused, reported.
The brother-in-law of the accused told police that Kanhaiya Prajapati converted his sister to Christianity. Kanhaiya Prajapati also started pressuring his brother-in-law for the conversion.
SHO Anand Gupta said that action has been taken against the accused based on the complaint. Police have registered a case under Section 3/5 (1) of the Uttar Pradesh Unlawful Religious Conversion Ordinance 2020.
