Jharkhand Adivasi Sarna Vikas Samiti, Ranchi President Megha Oraon said that after the allocation of a separate religion code for the tribes, the tribal communities will come under the minority category like Christian, Muslim, Sikh, Buddhist, and Jain. In such a situation, it will be difficult for the tribes to maintain the rights given in the Constitution under Article 13.
Megha Oraon said that the Catholic Church supporting and demanding Sarna Dharma Code is not for our interest but for their interest. Their demand for Sarna Dharma Code is to show that there is no difference between Adivasi and Christian, Megha Oraon added.
