Terming it un-Islamic, the Taliban will subsequently lead to the beheading of "mannequins" in the clothing stores of the Herat province of Afghanistan, reported the Sputnik news agency, citing Afghan media. Previously, the Taliban has banned music in public places and also imposed several restrictions on women under Sharia Law.

The Department for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice (DPVPV) placed this order and now traders are appalled. Traders in Afghanistan's Herat province are devastated and have reportedly said the mannequins are their only possession. They said they paid $ 100 to $ 200 for the models.

Traders were initially urged to get rid of all mannequins, but when they complained that the ban would affect their already struggling business, the rule was changed, Sputnik reported.

Prior to that, DPVPV also advised drivers not to transport women who do not wear the hijab. However, the Taliban regime is cracking down on women, and women's condition has deteriorated since taking power. Restrictions have been put in place for women in work and education.

They are also not allowed to travel alone more than 72 km from their home unless they are escorted by a male guardian.

When Afghanistan fell to the Taliban in August 2021, the Taliban pledged to introduce "reforms." This is contrary to what is happening in the country.
