IT professional unearths four Jain inscriptions in Karnataka

Bengaluru, Jan 20: An IT professional working with Wipro in Bengaluru discovered four unpublished Kannada inscriptions at an abandoned Jain temple in Kudrigi village of Honnavar taluk, Uttara Kannada district.
He unearthed the latest in November 2021 and it took him over a month to get the inscriptions deciphered and establish them as previously unpublished. The findings, from 13th century, include three ‘Nishadi’ memorials and a ‘pedestal’ inscription.
