Assam tells private madrassas to submit their institutional details

Assam Government has asked private madrassas across the State to submit all institutional details, including locations of institutions, teachers etc. The State said that the information should be made available to the Secondary Education Department on and before December 1, 2022.

According to the ANI report, the decision was taken in a meeting held at the Assam Police Headquarters in the presence of the Director General of Police (DGP) Bhaskarjyoti Mahanta, Director of Secondary Education Mamata Hojai, and other State Government officials. In addition, representatives of madrasas, including All Assam Tanzim Madaris Qaqmiya, All Assam Talimi Taraqqi Board, Madrasa Education Board Al Hafiz, and Adara Madaris Islamia who run private madrasas in the State were also present at the meeting.
