Nine members of three families have reconverted to the Sarna faith. The incident took place in Mangapat village in Manjhgaon Block of West Singhbhum District in Jharkhand.
Tribal conversion
A local organisation is working among the tribals to reconvert them to the Sarna faith. The organisation has been identified as Adivasi Ho Samaj Yuva Mahasabha. According to them, the tribals were converted by Christian missionaries three years ago. Since then, the activists have been in contact with these tribals, Navbharat Times reported.
Reconverted tribals claimed that the missionaries had converted them by enticement and fooled them by giving false commitments.
