Krishna idol dug up while laying pipeline

Vadodara, Feb 4: An idol of Lord Krishna, believed to be from 12th century, was found during work to dig a trench to lay a pipeline in Dahod town. The idol partly damaged idol was found when a road was dug up in the Desaiwad area near Panigate police outpost in Dahod.

The most recent such discovery was of six idols in Kadiyawad area in October 2020, all believed to be from Jain temples. The idol of Lord Krishna might be from a temple located on the boundary of the Chhab pond in the town. A better part of the pond has been covered over the years.
