SGPC to stop the wave of religious conversion in Punjab

After the Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, Giani Harpreet Singh, expressed concern over the alleged conversion of Sikhs, the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has decided to curb religious conversion. In this regard, SGPC Principal Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami conducted a special meeting with their members at Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib. Dhami said that more than 70 Pracharaks, Dhadi and Kavishari Jathas from Doaba Zone attended the meeting, Dainik Jagaran reported.

Dhami said that Gurmati Samagams would be organized by forming groups of preachers. After a month, a big Gurmati Samagam will be organized in one of the centres of these villages. During these programs, communication with the Sikhs will also be done, Dhami said.
