Uttarakhand CM Dhami washes feet of Shiva devotees

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami welcomed Shiva devotees at Ganga Ghat near Damkothi in Haridwar. CM Dhami washed their feet and gave Ganga Jali. He said that the blessings of Mother Ganga be with everyone. On this occasion, the Chief Minister also planted a tree at Damkothi.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the part of Lord Shiva is visible in the devotees of Shiva who come to Devbhoomi Uttarakhand. He said that for the first time, the Government arranged a separate budget for the Kanwar Yatra. All Kanwar devotees will perform Jalabhishek of Lord Shiva by taking Ganga water. Efforts have been made by the State Government to provide all possible facilities to the devotees so that there is no problem in the State.
The Chief Minister also appreciated the work of social institutions, voluntary organizations, and Government and district administration for the smooth management of Kanwar Mela. Chief Minister Dhami said that in Devbhoomi Uttarakhand this year, record devotees are coming to Chardham and Kanwar.
