Non-Hindus vandalise Hindu idols in Bangladesh

Some unidentified people belonging to the non-Hindu community vandalised the idols of Hindu Gods in Bangladesh. Locals claimed that the idols have been vandalised due to Hindu hatred. They further claimed that local extremist people belonging to Muslim community had not allowed them to perform Durga puja in the year 2021. The incident took place in Lahini Karmakar village of Kushtia, part of the constituency belonging to Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
 
Hindu persecution 
 
On social media, Bangladesh netizens claimed that this was the fourth attack just before Durga puja. Idols of Maa Durga and Lord Ganesh, along with other idols vandalised badly. Several cracks have been observed, indicating a massive impact on it.
 
Islam is against Idol worship. Worshipping other than Allah is forbidden in Islam, and it is subjected to sin. More than 90 per cent of the total population of Bangladesh is Muslim.
