Two Sikh groups clash over leadership of Faridkot gurdwara

Two groups clashed inside a gurdwara in Punjab's Faridkot district over the control of the committee that manages shrine affairs. Police have registered a case and arrested three people. Two people sustained minor injuries in the incident. Taking notice of the incident, the Akal Takht Jathedar has directed the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee to inquire into the matter.

In the video, members of the two groups can be seen engaging in a scuffle inside the sanctum sanctorum of the gurdwara located in the German Colony, Faridkot.
The case was registered under Sections 148 (rioting), 295 (defiling place of worship), 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt) and 341 (punishment for wrongful restraint) of the IPC.
